Ankle Taping

1. Anchor
• wrap tape around leg 5-7cm above ankle, starting and finishing at the front but with the ends not quite meeting
2. Stirrup
• wrap tape around leg 5-7cm above ankle, starting and finishing at the front but with the ends not quite meeting
• start at the inside of the ankle at the anchor towards the back
• run the tape down under the sole and back up to the anchor on the outside
• repeat x 3, each stirrup further forwards and overlapping the other by ½

3. Figure of 6
• start at the inside of the ankle at the anchor towards the back
• run the tape down under the sole and back up, running across the front of the ankle
• repeat x 2, the second stirrup further forwards and overlapping the other by ½

4. Figure of 8
• start at the outside of the ankle at the anchor, run the tape across the front of the ankle, down under the sole and back up, running across the front of the ankle
• repeat x 1
5. Heel lock
• cut a 30cm piece of tape • place the middle of the tape diagonally across the inside of the heel • bring both ends of tape to run diagonally across the front of the ankle to end up on the inside of the anchor • repeat x 1

6. Anchor
• repeat x 1
