Michelle brings over 10 years hands on experience following an extensive post graduate training in the treatment of headaches, jaw & neck, rib and back pain, pelvic girdle, and hip pain as well as clinical Pilates (including reformer/equipment) and musculoskeletal dry needling. Michelle is trained to work with ladies expecting or having just delivered a baby – who may be experiencing pregnancy related pain e.g. PGP & SPD.
In the past Michelle worked with elite athletes inclusive of Australian representatives in Boxing and Water polo as well as club level field and court athletes. She represented Scotland, her country at ski racing. She loves the winter season helping everyone get ready for the snow.
Michelle advocates movement and exercise as a cornerstone to well-being. She adopts a ‘whole body approach’ when assessing and diagnosing the reason for your pain or problem. You can expect a thorough and pragmatic assessment linking to a tailored treatment plan ensuring you get back on track, fast.
Her clients can expect specialist ‘hands on’ manual therapy followed by tailored exercises carefully prescribed to ensure those changes stick.
Building resilience is key to a happy body and she is committed to ensuring clients are discharged stronger and more robust to prohibit reoccurrence. Her treatment plan will often progress from the treatment table to the studio/gym.
Michelle enjoys practicing vinyasa yoga, running and lifting heavy weights in CrossFit.
