Background

Matthew has always loved playing sport & exercising, as well as harbouring a deep interest in how the body works.
His interest with sport & physical performance led him to studying a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from UNSW, before graduating from a Masters in Physiotherapy from USyd.

Matthew has experience in a wide range of sport as head physiotherapist including:

  • NSW Premier League Football
  • Sydney Grade Rugby Union
  • Sydney CAS rugby
  • Sydney Premier league AFL

Matthew is a great asset at Bay Active Physio, for his keen understanding of human biomechanics mixed to his dedication and empathy to athletes, with whom he manages to build a strong connection based on trust and efficacy.

Matthew enjoys building relationships with his clients & assisting them through both the acute phase of injury management as well as injury rehabilitation and gym-based Strength and Conditioning.

Matthew’s focus is not only for clients to overcome their acute and chronic injuries but also help them reach new levels of physical performance they previously thought unattainable.
